Keller Residence

On the night of July 28, 2006 the Stockyards team performed an investigation of a residence in Keller, Texas. The owners of this residence were in the process of moving out and were present during the investigation. Dawn, Rebecca, Lenka, and Cory were joined by guests Penny, Paula, and Allison. Allison is a disc jockey for an FM station in College Station and this was her first experience with a paranormal investigation.

One of the owners, I’ll call him Paul, had lived in the home since childhood. He had experienced a number of visual manifestations that appeared to be scenes from history being replayed before him. Paul told us that the current home had been built in the late 1970s but that a previous home had been on the same site. Paul described seeing a young boy playing with an old fashioned train set. He also described seeing adults in the home but seemingly from another time period. Paul told us that he had seen these things when he was in his early teens. He is now approximately 30 years old.

We divided into two teams and worked in different parts of the home. We did capture several orb photos. However the home was in disarray from the moving activity. Also the doors were frequently open as it was a warm night and the air conditioner wasn’t functioning. The orbs may well have been mostly dust.

We had a few suspicious noises from our recorders, but nothing that we could definitively put down as an EVP. There were no unusual occurrences during the evening. We did pick up a high EMF reading in the bedroom where Paul had reported seeing the young child playing. This EMF reading was the result of wiring in the wall.

Our findings in this investigation are inconclusive. The descriptions given by Paul seem to point to a residual haunting. These manifestations are not constant and you just have to be there at the right time. Nothing the owner told us gave us any indication that there was an interactive spirit in the home. However we may just have been there on a slow night. The home is being demolished for a widening of the road it faces, so another investigation will be impossible. We’ll just put this one down as a big maybe.
