Heartfelt Frames

241 South Main Street
Keller, TX

Heartfelt Frames is located in Old Town Keller at the intersection of Olive Street and Highway 377. The building was originally built as a residence sometime prior to the turn of the 20th century. We were unable to determine the exact date of construction but it is certainly one of the oldest structures in the city of Keller. While being a family residence for many years it has been commercial since approximately 2000.

Based on our research, we believe that Orin and Dorothy Cranfill lived in this home for many years. Both of them are buried in Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Dorothy Cranfill (nee Browning) was born in Keller, TX on December 23, 1911 and died in Keller, TX on April 9, 1983. We were told that a previous female owner had died in the home and we suspect this was Mrs. Cranfill. However, her death occurred after the Cranfill’s had sold the home, so we are not sure of this.

We interviewed both the current tenant, Christy Mason, and a previous owner of the house. The current tenant reports occasional strange noises but no significant activity. The previous owner reported objects falling off the shelves with no explanation, and the smell of pot roast. The current tenant, Christi, reports that prior to her moving in, the inside of the house was painted. The painters reported that they did not like staying in the house after dark.

Stockyards Paranormal conducted their investigation on the evening of November 21, 2009. The investigators for the evening were Cheryl, Monica, Shirley, Cheryl’s daughter Amy and Kevin. During the course of the evening we experienced very little in the way of suspected paranormal activity. We captured no evidence in our photographs or video cameras. While we did hear the occasional strange noise we felt like we could attribute most of these to outside traffic and other normal causes.

At one point Cheryl did hear some wind chimes making noise in the main room. We could not replicate this noise with opening doors or walking across the room. The chimes did not make noise again during the evening so we can’t say this may have been paranormal.

Shirley and Kevin observed some unusual K2 meter fluctuations in the small room that is located just off the main room. The K2 meter went off several times while Shirley was asking questions. One question the K2 meter responded to was “did you die in this room?” The meter went off several more times over the next few minutes. EMF readings for this room were very low, registering either point one or point two. The low EMF readings should not have been enough to set off the K2 meter. After these K2 readings occurred we did not see them repeat.

We appreciate the opportunity to investigate another historic home in Old Town Keller. We enjoyed the evening and the hospitality of the owner of Heartfelt Frames, Christy. We would like to make a return trip at a later date and try again. We often find that we get better results the second time around and our group loves working with the owners in Old Town Keller. We encourage our readers to visit Heartfelt Frames and all the great old homes located in Keller Old Town.
