Green Olive Interiors
The crew from Stockyards Paranormal returned to Green Olive Interiors in Keller, Texas for a follow up investigation on the evening of October 27, 2007. We initially investigated Green Olive in December 2006. During our initial investigation we experienced some objects that moved seemingly on their own. For a complete description of our previous investigation and the history of this location please see the write up on the investigations link of this website.One of the more serious reports of paranormal activity in this house had occurred on Halloween night of 2005. The incident involved owner Denise Moser’s son and some of his friends that were spending the night in the house. One of the boys had heard voices and saw an orange ball of light upstairs in the doctor’s office. We felt like Halloween would be the perfect time to return to the house and Denise was enthusiastic to have us back.
We were actually tackling two locations in one night on this investigation. In addition to working at Green Olive we also conducted an investigation of the Day Lily and Other Mishmash, which is located just across the street from Green Olive. Our investigators for the evening were Terri, Monica, Cheryl, Rebecca, Pat, and Kevin. We were joined by Ft. Worth Star Telegram Report Adrian and photographer Emily.
We began the investigation with Kevin, Rebecca, and Monica at Green Olive. We made our initial walkthrough of the house. We located a very high EMF source next to the cash register in Denise’s office area. We had missed this on our first investigation. There is a multi plug with several power cords in this area. This area was giving a reading of about 8 to 10 and going as high as 21 right next to the multi plug. The rest of the initial walkthrough did not reveal any unusual findings.
We gathered downstairs and began to try to communicate with the spirits of Dr. and Mrs. Read. Monica took a photo that shows a bright orb that seems to be stuck to Adrian, or at least right next to her. This would prove to be the only orb photo we would capture during the evening.
After a short time of asking the spirits to give us a sign of their presence we all heard a short series of knocks that seemed to come from the top of the stairwell. Several of us made the comment “did you hear that” and the sound repeated itself. It was a series of about four raps that repeated itself. Monica and Adrian walked to the bottom of the stairwell. Monica asked if that noise was caused by Dr. Read. We heard a noise immediately that sounded like a thump from upstairs. This noise caused our skeptical reporter to rush to the back of the room and hide behind the photographer.
We immediately began to try to find logical causes for the noises. We went upstairs and checked all the doors, knocked on the floor and the walls. The closest we could get to reproducing the noise was rattling the door into the closet under the stairwell. At the time the noise occurred there was no one near this door and Denise’s cat was on the front porch. Denise said that the cat never goes near this area. During our previous investigation, psychic Paula, picked up on the spirit of a young boy that seemed to hang around this area.
We were a bit surprised to get this activity. We have noticed that we seldom seem to pick up paranormal activity unless either Karen or Terri is present. They both seem to draw spirit activity. Denise’s presence might have helped us get a response in the absence of Karen or Terri.
As the first group wrapped up and prepared to move to the Day Lily, both Kevin and Monica picked up EVPs. Kevin initially thought his said “save us”. Monica’s recording was much stronger and says”séance”. At the time we picked this up we were explaining to Adrian about our plans to wrap up the evening either using the dowsing rods to ask questions or using an upturned glass on a table. Adrian said “you mean like a ………?”, and she paused as if searching for the correct word. At this point the EVP can be heard.
Terri, Pat, and Cheryl then came to Green Olive while Monica, Rebecca, and Kevin went to the Day Lily. While in the area of the bathroom, Monica and Pat detected an odor that smelled to them like pipe tobacco. During our previous investigation, several investigators thought they had picked up the smell of cigar smoke. We then all gathered together back at Green Olive for a final session.
We started with a group effort at trying to have the spirits move an upturned glass on the doctor’s table in the upstairs office. We tried this for about ten minutes with absolutely no activity. There were several of us packed tightly into the Doctor’s Office. Rebecca reported that she began to have a sick feeling which could have been linked to being in the close quarters or it could have been caused by something paranormal.
We then moved to a question and answer session using the dowsing rods. We got several positive responses to questions. Through a series of yes and no answers we were told that the spirit of a young boy was trying to communicate with us. During these sessions we sometimes have the rods crossing slowly sometimes more quickly. When we asked the spirit if he liked Denise the rods crossed very quickly. This was the only response we had during the evening that was that strong. This session lasted for several minutes. Unfortunately we did not pick up any EVPs or video evidence during this session.
Once again we encountered activity at Green Olive that seemed to point to paranormal origins. The knocking sounds were heard by everyone in the house at the same time. They were quite loud and were responsive to our questions. While being a great old home with a fascinating history, Green Olive has provided us with two intriguing investigations. Our thanks again to Denise for allowing us to experience this wonderful place.
