Cleburne Private Residence
Stockyards Paranormal Investigations was asked to conduct an investigation at a private residence located just outside Cleburne Texas. Since this is a private residence and we want to protect the privacy of the home owners we will provide only limited information on the residence and owners.The reports of activity at this residence include things moving of their own accord. The homeowners have seen a door close on its own, ceiling fans swinging when they shouldn’t, a drawstring on a hoodie was lifted while being worn by one of the homeowners. They have heard heavy breathing and footsteps. They have also experienced changes in temperature.
Our historical research revealed that there have been two fatal car wrecks next to this home. The most recent was in early February and the other was approximately one year ago. It was speculated that the activity could be related to these accidents.
We conducted our investigation on the evening of March 20, 2010. The investigators for the evening were Monica, Shirley, Cheryl, and Kevin.
Shortly after arriving, Cheryl and Shirley both heard footsteps on the front porch. However there was no one there. During the course of the evening we repeatedly heard bangs or pops in various parts of the house. We have to attribute this to natural house noises and to the fact that it was very windy outside.
We utilized three K2 meters during the investigation. All three of these would flash on occasion. Our checks of natural EMF in the area would indicate that there was no reason for these flashes.
About one hour into the investigation we caught an EVP which is attached to this report. On the audio you will hear Shirley mentioning that Cheryl has left the room. You will hear some faint whispering that we could not decipher and then something that sounds like “Cheryl’s gone”, one investigator believes that it says “down the hall”. We can’t be 1005 sure of what it says but we do believe that this is a solid EVP and that it is none of the investigators. Two of our audio devices picked this up, one more audible that the other. We have included three different recordings all with the same EVP but of different lengths.
Due to an unseasonable ice/snowstorm we had to cut the investigation short. We cannot come to any conclusions regarding whether or not the home is haunted, however there is certainly indications that there may be some type of paranormal activity taking place here. We hope to follow up this investigation in the near future.
