Carter, Texas

Stockyards Paranormal Investigation journeyed to a real ghost town on the night of June 10, 2006. We visited Carter, Texas located between Springtown and Weatherford. The site consists of an old but small church building, a pavilion area, and numerous historical markers. There are several websites which give the history of this location so I won?t go into that here. This site has been investigated previously by several other groups. Jason from Tarrant County Investigation of the Paranormal, TCIP, acted as our tour guide and gave us some great tips on ghost hunting. We had some very weird experiences. Jason was operating an EMF detector and got responses inside the church. We also experienced a five degree temperature drop in about three minutes while the EMF detector was giving us high readings. Jason got several EVPs. We had several orb photos, but you would expect to find these in this type of environment.
